Thorington couldn't handle a lifestyle without feathered boas and purple wingtip shoes. He renounced his paladinhood and pledged himself to the Demigoddess of Whores. He fled outside into a blizzard.

Iceal and Gar, worried that Thorington might come back and betray the party, decided to guard the entrance to the giant lair.

The rest of the party encountered some frost giants and rescued a rather nerdy wizard who joined the party.

Two fire giants with Italian accents were found. They proceeded to beat the snot out of the party. Tarn's consort and Ragnar were reduced to -9HP, but made their 10% chance to auto-stabilize and survived. The fire giants were beaten. A silver polar bear statue with saphire eyes was found.

Luna was sneak-attacked with a ring of the ram and knocked off a cliff, she had a featherfall spell handy and lived, however. When Ragnar and his flying steed swooped down to rescue her, a GI-GUNGOUS frost worm showed up. Tarn then threw himself off the cliff, greatsword down and put the smack on the huge beast. It turned to ice and exploded in a shower of icy shards. Again, no one died.

A den of winter wolves was found, and during that combat, Shandar, the consort of Tarn, was sneak attacked and knocked off a cliff. She survived, barely.

Tarn hotfooted out of the wolf den and found a cloud giant with a funky black cloak, a huge rapier-like weapon and a ring of the ram. Murder in his eye he entered combat with the giant. The new wizard, apparently mentally warped from his time as a prisoner went out to "help". Tarn laid enough smack down on the cloud giant to force it to flee. Tarn persued with the new wizard hanging on to his cloak and "Tarn-skiing" along.

Tarn was sneak-attacked by the cloud giant as he rounded a corner but the giant missed. The giant rushed past Tarn (getting hit in the process) and the wizard threw himself into the path of the onrushing 5,028 pound, 18.5 foot tall, moving at full speed giant. The wizard now has a giant footprint on his back.

Tarn and the wizard found the cloud giant holed up with four hill giant monks. Tarn rushed in, started to do what he does best, when the wizard decided to detonate 50 dice of a necklace of fireballs in the room.

Boom.

Tarn took 6 HP of damage due to the many protections laid upon him, the cloud giant took none because of his evasion, and the monks were all burnt to some extent. The cloud giant again beat feet and got away. But not before stomping on a certain wizard who apparently skipped class the day the professor discussed physics. Tarn took his frustration out on the monks.

Meanwhile, the other members of the party finished off the winter wolf pack and found Tarn and the wizard with two foot prints on his ass. The party found a golden spider with diamond eyes in the goods of the giants.

The party decided to rest.
