I got my boots from Cole-tan yesterday. They seem nice. I hope they serve me well. Some girl named Crystal dropped off a note from someone named Farnsworth today. These are people the party knows, apparently. This Farnsworth guy wants us to visit him at the insane asylum in the Stormhorn mountains. Since he's a friend of the party, I guess we're going.

On the way there, we passed through the Helmlands. Weird stuff happens here occasionally. Trees move, streams flow one way and then the other, etc. At first I thought this might cause problems, but our problems came from another source. A scrawny looking human decided to put up a toll-booth in a pass we were passing through. The Barbarian pissed him off and he called up a dragon friend of his. A nice young adult white one. The scrawny humans smile vanished as the Barbarian's grew. The Barbarian starting his usual punishment on the beast, and the Bard and I took cover by some rocks to shoot some arrows. The Bards arrow bounced off, and so I figured mine would too. Changing my plan, I decided to hop down into the hole that the dragon rose out of. There was a decent amount of treasure down there, and the monk and I kept each other honest as the battle raged above. It seems the dragon gave the Barbarian a run for his money, because he wasn't fully healed until a few days after that battle.

We arrived at the asylum a few days latter, and were greeted by Otis Bendbow at the door, if you can call getting the door slammed in your face a greeting. We persisted in knocking and were greeted by an older human named Ass-worth. He seemed miffed that Otis had not let us in. When he invited us in, the monk and I snuck past him to check out the place. The other three members (Bard, Cole-tan, and Barbarian) visited with Ass-worth and Otis. It seems that Otis had taken a job here as a attendant. The Monk and I discovered the area which housed the crazy people. It seemed much larger than needed for the number of patents.

As night fell, our group got back together and searched out the place. There was no sign of Farnsworth, and there were a few clues that led us to believe that something strange was going on. We discovered that the crazy people were being taken to a city that was frozen in a glacier and being used by weird alien creatures to thaw out parts of their city. We battled a few of these creatures and later found Otis and Ass-worth were working for them. It seems the creatures have a very good ability to control other people. Otis got away and we collapsed the glacier on their fine alien city.

We traveled back to Marsember uneventfully. After settling in, we were treated to a visit from Col. Mangum and Cookie (now called Belvedere). He had another job for us. A guy by the name of Haster Brunt was in possession of a lady's undergarment and was using it to blackmail his way into a partnership with one of the merchant houses in Marsember. Nobody likes this guy or his methods, so our job is to embarrass him and recover the garment to thwart the blackmailing. Sneaking into a merchants house is my specialty, so this should be easy.

Well, we completed the job. Cole-tan and I snuck into the house and as luck would have it, the first door I tried turned out to be the door to Haster's office. Not expecting this, I also did not expect the dart in the back of my head. I awoke to some smelling salts and a shot of gnome rot-gut at the victory celebration. I doubt I'll ever live that one down.
