Me, currently a Rogue/Sorcerer (7/3)
Tarn, The Barbarian Cleric and now Templar of Kord (4/5/3)
Ragnar, Paladin/Templar of Heronious (6/2)
Iceal, a Monk/Necromancer (7/2)
Coletan, a drunken Wizard (12th)
Some new guy, a Ranger/Rogue (3/3)

Yes, I know Iceal died, but he gained so much exp that he leveled twice after that. Ditto Coletan. Normally we can't level twice, but the DM made an exception for a very tough adventure.

We were hanging around enjoying a little down time when a fully-dressed adventurer showed up on our door-stop with a pizza (funny how these guys always show up after someone dies...). As we were chatting, something happened and we were all transported to some strange place. Everything seemed quite ancient. We ran into a some dragon cultists, but they seemed ill-equipped to defend themselves. In fact, I dare say they were pussies. This was indeed a strange place.

In one room, we discovered Wintershiven, Roscoe's half-elven friend at the controls of a strange machine. He explained that he brought us here with the machine so that we could help him get out. But now one of the red gems that "makes it go" was broken. He told us that this place was called the "Anvil of Time" and time travel was possible here somehow, but he couldn't figure it out.

So, we wandered around and found a room that seemed like a focal point for several curved granite blocks on screws. There we encountered some asshole elves that were standing on the wall as if gravity effected them differently than us. They demanded that we surrender to them, but we both quickly figured out that we could not effect each other. Any attempt to do so resulted in our weapons going right through with no effect.

We quit wasting our time with the elves and set out on how to figure out the time machine. Iceal thought it would be a good idea to cast identify on one of the blocks with a screw in it. "This might take some time, guys.", said Iceal. "OK, have at it" said us and we went on our merry way.

We found several cranks that when turned would manipulate some number displays that we found. We also found a few scraps of papers with numbers written on them. So, we turned the dials until the numbers matched up with one of the numbers on a paper that we found. By doing this we found that we could leave the focal room in different orientations to other time periods within the Anvil.

In the next time period, we ran into a group of Medusas not once, but twice. Twice that I know of that is, because the second time I was turned to stone. I really don't know what transpired whilest I was a statue, but I was turned back to my fleshy self at some latter time. I was with some elves, and Ragnar was there making a fuss about Tarn getting his ass kicked by Iggwilive and he needed help, yada, yada. So, being the last one turned back to flesh, I was the last to this "epic battle" - just in time to see her die, and turn to snow. That would indicate a simulacrum and not the real Iggwilive... The elves that helped us also were holding Roscoe as a prisoner, and he was released to our custody.

To wrap things up, we got some unbroken red stones from the time period were nothing was messed up and went back to our time period. Then we used the stones to activate the portal back to Roscoe's house. We collected up Iceal, who had just finished casting his spell - "It's a granite block on a screw that focuses time energy and..." "That's great, Iceal. You ready to go home?" We also made sure that Roscoe and Wintershiven were accounted for, and we went home... Sort of.

When we got back to Marsember, things had changed. Marsember was war-torn. Talking to people on the street reveled that we had been missing for two years, and during that time Cormyr got it's ass kicked by giants. There is a bounty of 1000GP for proof of a slain hill giant, 2000GP for a stone giant, 3000GP for a frost giant, and 5000GP for a fire giant. Man are we gonna be rich!
